CYPRUS. Salamis. Phausis (?), circa 480-460 BC. Stater (Silver, 24 mm, 11.12 g, 10 h). π žπ „/π ͺ𐠩𐠃 ('pa-u/si-se-o' in Cypriot syllabic script) Ram recumbent left; above, pellet-in-crescent. Rev. Ankh-like symbol with 𐠞 ('pa' in Cypriot syllabic script) in center; around, 𐠩-π ͺ-𐠐-𐠃 ('se-si-le-o' in Cypriot syllabic script); across field, 𐠠-𐠒 ('pi-lo' in Cypriot syllabic script); all within incuse square. BMC -. CNG 124 (2023), 275 (same dies). Tziambazis -. Zapiti & Michaelidou -. Very rare and with unusually complete legends. Struck from somewhat worn dies on an irregular flan, otherwise, very fine.
